Description

A hidden gem near the entrance of Achasan hiking trail, this restaurant is famous for its fresh handmade tofu dishes. Alongside these, you can also enjoy a summer favorite—soy milk noodles. You can choose between black beans (Seoritae) or white beans for your noodles. In the video, the Seoritae version is introduced, known for its rich and nutty flavor. The broth is slightly thinner, making it refreshingly light, while the taste remains deep and full-bodied. Take a bite of the noodles, sip the cold broth, and you’ll feel the summer heat melt away. Many guests prefer to add a pinch of salt for an extra kick (in Korea, there’s always a fun debate—salt or sugar in soy milk noodles!). Another highlight is the variety of makgeolli available. Guests simply grab a bottle from the fridge themselves, shake it well, and open it carefully to release the air before drinking. Side dishes include napa cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, chili peppers, and a seasoned shrimp sauce. On the table, you’ll also find a soy sauce dip with chopped scallions. The “Modubu” (freshly steamed tofu) is especially popular among hikers—topped with kimchi or a spoonful of shrimp sauce, its nutty flavor is irresistible. Paired with a glass of makgeolli, it’s the perfect way to recover after a long hike. Above all, the prices here are very reasonable, making it well worth a visit even if you’re not hiking Achasan. Affordable, hearty, and delicious—this spot is highly recommended for tofu lovers and noodle fans alike. 🙌
