Description
This izakaya, located in Seo-gu, Incheon, earned its reputation not just through promotions — actor and YouTube channel host Hiromitsu Takeda personally visited, tasted the food, and gave his stamp of approval. If you're a highball lover, this place is an absolute must. It has been selected as a “Highball Specialty Venue” for four consecutive years. The interior gives off the cozy vibe of a Japanese late-night diner, with both table seating and bar counters, making it a great spot even for solo diners. Their highballs 🥃 are crafted using Suntory’s official ultra-carbonated machine, the first of its kind introduced in Incheon. The result? Incredibly crisp bubbles and a clean, refreshing taste. One of the house specialties is the 1-Liter Highball, perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying on your own. For appetizers, you’ll be served jalapeños with shichimi, scallop jeotgal (fermented scallops), Taki’s original jalapeño-based sauce, salt, wasabi, and sesame sauce. The star of the menu is the Wagyu Black Tiger Teppan Set 🥩🍤. On a sizzling iron plate, wagyu steak and black tiger shrimp are grilled together with bean sprouts, mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, cherry tomatoes, pineapple, onion, and egg. If you sit at the bar, you can watch the entire cooking process up close — a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The wagyu features beautiful marbling, and when seared over direct heat, it melts in your mouth, releasing rich umami. The horumon (innards) are lightly grilled, offering a pleasantly chewy texture and subtle sweetness. The black tiger shrimp come pre-peeled and topped with tartar sauce — smoky, bouncy, and incredibly flavorful. The Taki jalapeño sauce adds a gentle spiciness that balances out the richness of the meat, while freshly grated wasabi pairs beautifully with the fattier cuts. Another popular dish is the Osaka-style Teppan Stir-fry 🔥 — a bold, spicy stir-fry of beef brisket, chewy horumon, garlic chives, bean sprouts, and beef tripe. The owner trained in Osaka and recreated the dish with a Korean twist, making it a must-try for spice lovers. To end your meal, don’t miss the Homemade Cheese & Crackers. Their house-made cheese has a dense, chewy texture that’s not overly sweet, served with fresh strawberries 🍓 and crackers. A bite of cheese and strawberry atop a cracker provides the perfect sweet and savory finish after the rich teppan dishes. 🧀✨
