Samgyetang Maeul (Ginseng Chicken Soup Village)

This is a well-known chain specializing in Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup).Besides the Banpo branch (the one featured here), there are also locations in Seocho and Seorae Village, so if it's too crowded here, you might want to try one of the other branches!

Other locations serve spicy braised chicken (Dakbokkeumtang), but at the Raemian Firstige Banpo branch, it’s takeout only, and you can only order Samgyetang for dine-in.

If you enjoy alcohol, try pairing your meal with a glass of ginseng liquor!

The chicken used in the Samgyetang isn’t particularly large,but it's extremely tender, making it easy to pull the meat off the bones,and as with any good Samgyetang, the broth is rich and flavorful.

Needless to say, it’s delicious — highly recommended when you want to recharge your body, especially in the summer!
